Equities desk heads:
Leigh Harrison is Threadneedle's Head of Equities and has overall responsibility for the management and performance of the company's equity products. He is the co-manager of the Threadneedle UK Equity Alpha Income Fund and the Threadneedle UK Equity Income Fund.
Prior to joining Threadneedle, Leigh was a director and senior
portfolio manager for UK equities at Credit Suisse Asset
Management, where he built an outstanding reputation for UK equity
income products.
He has also held the positions of associate director at Rowan
Dartington and director at Hill Samuel Investment Management, where
he focused on UK smaller company funds.
Leigh holds a BA (Hons) from Nottingham University and an MSc from
University College, London. He is also a Member of the Securities
Institute.
Simon Brazier is Threadneedle's Head of UK Equities with
responsibility for driving the team's investment thinking. He began
his career at Schroders in 1998 and, since 2002, he was a member of
the Schroder UK Specialist Equity team with responsibility for
running a variety of institutional mandates as well as the Schroder
UK Equity Fund.
Simon holds a BA (Hons) in Economics with French from Durham
University and also studied at the University of Aix-Marseille.
Cormac Weldon joined Threadneedle in 1997 and is Head of US
Equities. He manages the Threadneedle American Smaller Companies,
the Threadneedle American Select and the Allied Dunbar North
American Growth Funds.
Cormac started his career with KPMG. He has also worked for
Provident Mutual as an Analyst on their North American equities
team and British Gas Pension Fund as a Fund Manager on their North
American equities team.
Cormac has a BA in Accounting and Finance from Dublin City
University.
He is also an associate member of the UK Society of Investment
Professionals (UKSIP) and a CFA Charter holder.
Vanessa Donegan is Head of Asia Pacific Equities. She also has
analytical responsibility for investments in Singapore, Australia
and New Zealand and is a member of the banking, insurance and basic
materials sector teams.
Vanessa began her career in 1981 with Grieveson Grant Stockbrokers
where she progressed to manage Far Eastern investments. She joined
Allied Dunbar Asset Management in 1986, where she was responsible
for the management of Far Eastern funds. Allied Dunbar Asset
Management became part of Threadneedle in 1994. Vanessa holds a
degree in classics from Oxford University.
William Davies is Threadneedle's Head of Global Equities and Deputy Head of Equities. He manages a wide range of retail and institutional funds, including the Threadneedle Global Select Fund.
Prior to taking up his current roles William was Head of European Equities for 12 years (until 2011), during which time he oversaw a period of very strong performance and significant growth in assets.
William joined Threadneedle at the company's inception in 1994. Prior to this, he worked for Eagle Star Investments Ltd1. He has also worked for Hambros Bank as a European Investment Manager where he led the European equity team.
William graduated from Exeter University with a BA (Hons) in Economics in 1985.
Philip Dicken is Head of European Equities at Threadneedle. He joined the company in 2004 and has managed the Threadneedle Pan European Smaller Companies Fund since launch. He also manages the Threadneedle (Lux) European Smaller Companies Absolute Alpha Fund and several other smaller company portfolios.
He started his career with Merrill Lynch as an Analyst in the Corporate Finance division and holds a first class degree in Mechanical Engineering with French from Bristol University.
He is also a member of the CFA Society of the UK.
